Our History

70 Years of Family-Built Manufacturing Excellence Dial Tool Industries was founded in 1955 by Gregory “Leo” Pagliuzza in a modest 620 sq. ft. shop on Lawrence Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. Focused on tooling and metal stamping for nearby manufacturers, the business quickly built a reputation for speed, reliability, and customer-first service.

As demand grew, DIAL Tool Industries relocated to Franklin Park, Illinois, where it expanded operations and production space. In the 1990s, Leo’s sons, Steve and Mario Pagliuzza, stepped into leadership and evolved the company into a multi-capability manufacturer, adding plastic injection molding, insert molding, and value-add services.

 

In the early 2000s, the business expanded its operations into a modern, 40,000 sq. ft. facility in Addison, Illinois, where DIAL still operates today.

Though the company is now under new ownership, the foundation of family, tradition, and responsiveness remains at the center of everything we do. We continue to grow by investing in advanced manufacturing technologies, automation, and the kind of service mindset that earned customer trust decades ago.

DIAL Facility

Built for Speed, Precision, and End-to-End Control

Located in Addison, Illinois, USA, DIAL operates in a 40,000 square foot facility that brings metal stamping, plastic molding, insert and over molding, tooling, and sub-assembly together under one roof. This fully integrated setup gives customers better lead times, quality control, and supply chain efficiency.

Stamping Pressroom​

Coil-fed presses with speeds up to 1,500 strokes per minute, supported by in-die sensing. All stamping is done in-house to ensure accuracy, repeatability, and faster adjustments when needed.

Plastic Molding Cells

All-electric molding machines dedicated to straight injection, insert molding, and over molding. Running molding operations on-site allows for better process control, rapid changeovers, and direct coordination with tooling and assembly.

Assembly & Secondary Operations

Assembly, hardware insertion, and part finishing are managed directly in our facility. This reduces reliance on outside vendors, shortens timelines, and ensures parts are delivered production-ready.

Quality Lab

On-site quality inspections and documentation support every stage of production. Having the lab in-house allows for immediate verification, full traceability, and faster approvals with no third-party delays.

Tool Room

Our in-house tooling team handles design, builds, sharpening, and preventive maintenance. Keeping this function internal helps reduce downtime, improve tool life, and make fast updates as programs evolve.

Front Office & Engineers

Our front office and engineers work side by side with the shop floor. This setup keeps communication clear and decisions fast, so we can react quickly and keep everything on track.
