Tooling
We can create your tooling through our in-house
design and engineering team. Our engineers are trained in the use
of AutoCad, Pro-E and Cadkey. Our engineering staff has more than
60 years' experience, and will work with you to develop the most economical
and functional design. Participation in customers' supplier involvement
programs such as Motorola's Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) has allowed
us to put our expertise to good use. Every tool is designed and built
to our stringent tooling standards, which ensure Class-A tooling for
long life and superior quality.
All tools are built with:
ASP-23 metal
ball bearing die sets
inserts for the cutting members
precision-guided spring stripers
high quality tool alloys
idle stations for future EC's
Taking these steps reduces maintenance, ensures
long life, and achieves top-quality product. Dial features CAM-equipped
Agie wire EDM machines for precision cuts. We can also download DXF
to our 24-tool machining center further improving our ability to deliver
a premium tool with the shortest cycle time. Typical cycle time is
6-10 weeks, depending on the part.
We also have years of expertise in making multi-part
dies. Stamping multiple parts in one tool can be achieved in basically
two ways:
family dies where multiple parts
are interchangeable in the same tool. This die will run one part at a
time.
Multi-part dies where multiple parts are run at the same time in
one die. The only restriction in the multi-part die is the bill of material
must use the same ratio for each part.
